Building permits

A building permit is required for most new construction, additions, and major renovations within city limits. Applying is straightforward:

1. Check your zoning. Contact Planning & Zoning to confirm what’s allowed on your property.
2. Submit your application. Bring your plans to City Hall, or email them to planning@fairhaven.example.gov.
3. Review. Most residential permits are reviewed within five business days.
4. Inspection. We’ll schedule inspections at the stages your project requires.
